Ashford Town Parish is the Church of England in Ashford. We are a vibrant family of churches that together serve the whole of Ashford. If you live here, one of our centres shouldn’t be too far away. We have eight church buildings that have been here since the Middle Ages (with a few changes over the centuries), as well as some that are more modern. We hope you’ll find a warm welcome whenever you visit us.

Ashford Town Parish Vision - A family of churches centred on Jesus, serving the community and sharing our faith.

ABOUT US

We are registered with the Charity Commissioners: Charity Number 1171191

OUR VISION

We have sought God’s will for our parish over the next five years, we see this vision including:

A rich variety of discipleship activities and worship services that enable people of different ages and stages of faith to live lives centred on Jesus.

Initiatives that are serving the community by having a transformative impact on people’s lives in the most deprived areas of Ashford.

An evolving range of ‘bridge’ activities that build relationships with people who are not currently part of a church community, including those living on newer estates, and provide opportunities for sharing our faith.

Parish Consultation

As already announced, we launched our parish consultation on Sunday by showing a video in our main services and handing out a flyer about what happens next.

If you weren't there on Sunday, or would like to watch the video again, you can find it above. Please take a look at that before reading on!

The flyer to follow up the video read as follows.

The Parish Leadership Team are making plans for the future of our parish and we would very much appreciate your prayerful responses to these three questions to help us in our planning.
1. How do you feel about where we are as God's people in this place at this time?
2. How do you hope to see our church grow and develop in the future?
3. What support and resources would help you with this?

You can submit your responses in three ways:

  • By e-mail to info@ashfordchurches.co.uk with the header PARISH QUESTIONS

  • On paper to the Parish Office in an envelope labelled PARISH QUESTIONS - please include your name on your response

  • By joining one of the informal feedback groups in your own church - details available in your church.

We'd like to have responses by Monday 19th January, to help us prepare for the Parish Consultation Morning, but you can still send them after that.

Having watched the video and responded to it in one or more of these ways, please also come along to the Parish Consultation Morning on Saturday 24th January 9:30am-12:30pm at the John Wallis Church of England Academy to join with others across the parish to share ideas for the future of our parish. If you are able to attend, please email the Parish Office to help us plan for the right number of people.
