Growing Stronger Communities

We are fundraising for a Youth and Family Worker to develop our ministry with young people and their families.

Help us to support and grow our engagement with young people and their families, building stronger faith in Jesus and reaching out to serve our community.

Singleton Community Church has grown considerably in recent years with almost half our church family under 18 years old.

We believe this is a clear sign of God at work and we sense Him calling us to build upon this by developing our ministry with young people.

For this reason, we would like to employ a Youth and Family Worker to lead our dedicated Children and Youth team, working alongside our Local Leadership Team and the Team Vicar.

This post will enable us to better mentor our young people to grow in their Christian lives, encourage participation in the full life of the church, support our volunteer team, help resource parents as they guide their children in their journey of faith, develop connections with local schools and initiate a range of new activities and clubs to serve our community.

Harry (18) says “a Youth and Family Worker at SCC would help create opportunities for faith exploration and development for our teens and those in our surrounding community.”

As well as applying for grant-funding to help turn this vision into a reality, we also invite our church family to pray for and give towards funding this exciting project. On our current projections we will need to raise £182,000 over 5 years/£36,000 per year to fund this new post.

To hear more about our vision come along to SCC in Singleton Village Hall on Sunday 3rd November at 10.30am and other events throughout 2025.
